Fatima bint Muhammad (daughter of Muhammad), the only surviving member of Muhammad's offspring. She was also called by the name Zahra. She married Ali b. Abi Talib, who became the 4th caliph. She is is the mother of Hasan and Hussein. Greatly revered by Shiites.

Fatima bint Asad was the wife of Abu Talib, Muhammad' uncle. This couple raised Muhammad after his mother and grandfather had died.
