According to the canons of the Eastern Orthodox faith, no one can have communion with heretics or schismatics and still remain in good standing with the Church. This applies to the clergy as well:

Canon XXXII of the council of Laodicea states:

“That one must not accept blessings of heretics, which are misfortunes rather than blessings.”

Canon XXXIII of the council of Laodicea states:

“No one shall join in prayers with heretics or schismatics.”

Canon X of the Holy Apostles states:

“If anyone shall pray, even in a private house, with an excommunicated person, let him also be excommunicated.”

Note: What is meant by an “excommunicated person,” is anyone that is barred from communion, not just those who used to be in communion.

Canon XLIV of the Holy Apostles states:

Let any bishop, or presbyter, or deacon that merely joins in prayer with heretics be suspended, but if he has permitted them to perform any service as clergymen, let him be deposed.”

Canon LXV of the Holy Apostles states:

If any clergyman, or layman, enters into a synagogue of Jews, or of heretics, to pray, let him be both deposed and excommunicated.”

(Why are Orthodox Christians Forbidden to Pray with the Heretic; emphasis mine)

This, therefore, means all of the Patriarchs and Bishops that have and continue to work with or bless schismatics and heretics such as Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Protestants, etc., are in grave sin and must be defrocked and removed from the clergy. This especially applies to all of the EO hierarchs, particularly from those of the Constantinople patriarchate that frequently attend Catholic masses to show their support to the Catholic Church, since EO considers the Catholic Church to be heretical and in schism.

Moreover, any EO who joins with them or takes the sacraments from them is implicit in their sins and must either repent or be removed from the Church.
